German Police Arrest Suspect Arson Mosque


A 30-year man was arrested Friday night in the Neukölln district of Berlin on suspicion of arson, related to a series of attacks against some mosques in the capital of Germany, said the police spokesman.

Investigators arrested the man at the U-Bahn station Blaschkoallee.

The arrest follows a wave of arson attacks on Muslim houses of worship in Berlin in recent months. No one was hurt but the fire caused property damage in each case.

The attackers left a message mosque regularly at the scene.Police did not describe the message in detail, However the report says the messages using the articles in a newspaper.

So after doing a comprehensive investigation, the prosecutor later obtained a warrant to search the Berlin daily newspaper BZ.A police spokesman said investigators seized evidence to strengthen the case against the suspect.

according to the daily managing editor, Peter Huth, the suspect contact BZ in mid-December, he requested a copy of one article in the newspaper. Huth said the employee who receives a request from the suspects.

"The good, she (employee newspaper) noted the name and address of the caller and can notify police officers on Friday afternoon, which allows for arrest within a few hours," says editor BZ.

Police spokesman said the men were arrested on Friday for allegedly involved in four of seven arson attacks against mosques in Berlin since June last year. Investigators check whether the suspect was related to another incident.
