The British soldier killed in Afghan Translucent 350

The number of deaths for British troops in Afghanistan war that lasted for nearly a decade, has reached 350 after there were reports of British soldiers killed by another roadside bomb.

Ministry of Defence said the soldier was killed in an explosion in the southern province of Helmand. He is the second soldier from the British soldiers who died this year.

Britain has about 10,000 troops in Afghanistan, making it the second largest contributor to NATO-led forces there.

According to official figures, since the US-led invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, more than 2308 NATO troops have been killed.

Increasing the number of troop casualties in Afghanistan has caused widespread anger in Britain, the United States and other NATO member states, to reduce public support for the war in Afghanistan.

Several NATO member nations demanded to immediately withdraw troops because of public pressure.

The security situation in Afghanistan still fragile despite the presence of 150,000 American-led foreign troops in the country.
